Notre Dame Seminary 2nd Theology

I was born a middle child in Hartford, Connecticut, on June 8th, 1988. I grew up in the woods and still feel most at peace there. My parents were not religious, but they had the three of us baptized, though we never went to church. That changed when my mom got cancer, we went to Mass every Sunday and attended catechism. I always thought that would be the extent of my religious involvement.

It’s not that I disliked church, I enjoyed it quite a bit, but I would rather be at home reading or hiking through the woods. That changed when I made my confirmation retreat. One night I was trying to figure out what was going on inside of me, a calling to be a priest, and a youth minister until then. I believed and still do that voice inside of me was God. I got involved in youth ministry all through high school and until my adult life, but I struggled with the idea of becoming a priest. Through my work with DYC, my view of the priesthood started to change, but I continued my college studies and went on with my life. I graduated from CBU, had a few jobs and kept hearing the call. I now realize I am called to be in Memphis, and I want to be a priest. I have been accepted as a seminarian and now I am studying at St. Meinrad Seminary.
